SUMMARY:CMSALI (2CE): Parkinsonism vs. Parkinson's Disease: How to See the Forest for the Trees
DESCRIPTION:CMSA MEMBERS: Register Here!\nNON-MEMBERS: Register Here! \nParkinsonism vs. Parkinson’s Disease: How to See the Forest for the Trees\nClick here for more details \n2 hour CCM & SW \nJoin Us for our upcoming Chapter Meeting\nRaffle | Dinner | Networking | Educational Program \nFEE:\nCMSA Members are free BUT need to show of active membership\nNon-members: $20 via PayPal online | WALK INS: $30 \nABSTRACT: \nAll Parkinson’s Disease patients have Parkinsonism\, but not all patients with Parkinsonism have Parkinson’s\nDisease. In the clinical setting\, it’s easy to get lost in the "trees"—the tremors\, the slow gait\, and the stiff\nlimbs. This talk provides the "aerial view" needed to distinguish the broad clinical syndrome of Parkinsonism\nfrom the specific neurodegenerative pathologies hiding within it. By learning to see the forest for the trees\,\nclinicians and caregivers can better predict specific disease trajectories and craft the most appropriate\nroadmaps for care. \nSPEAKER:\nVictoria Schuppe\, PT\, DPT\, OCS\, CHT\, LSVT\nClinical Programs and Rehabilitation Liaison; Paragon Management SNF\, LLC \nSPEACIAL GUEST SPEAKER:\nAnn Warren - Development Manager\, New York Chapter; Parkinson’s\nFoundation \nRSVP: APRIL 8\, 2026 \n(This program has been submitted for 2.0 CEU’s to the Commission for Case Manager Certification for approval \nto provide board-certified case managers and the NYS Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an \napproved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0865)
