SUMMARY:All Florida Case Management Network (2 CEs) - Stop Domestic Violence
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n  \n\n\nMembers of CMSA Free \nNon-Members: $25.00 Questions or trouble registering email Nadine Carter at ncarter3345@outlook.com \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOverview: Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior in any relationship that is used by one partner to gain or maintain power and control over another intimate partner. Domestic violence can be physical\, sexual\, emotional\, economic\, psychological\, or technological actions or threats or other patterns of coercive behavior that influence another person within an intimate partner relationship. This includes any behavior that intimidate\, manipulate\, humiliate\, isolate\, frighten\, terrorize\, coerce\, threaten\, blame\, hurt\, injure\, or wound someone. \nStatistics – The “Why” as to the importance on Domestic Violence as a formal educational course \n\nIt is estimated more than 10M adults experience domestic violence annually in the United States.\nThe most current national studies on domestic violence suggest that from 22 to 25% of all women will experience domestic violence at some point during their lives.\nIt is estimated that one in three women and one in four men have been physically abused by an intimate partner. On a typical day\, national hotlines receive over 20\,000 calls. An estimated 15.5M children are witness to domestic violence every year.\nIt appears domestic violence has increased over the past few years following the Covid pandemic.\n\nJoin your colleagues for a in-depth course on Domestic Violence. This CE Course meets the requirements for the Florida Board of Nursing for Registered Nurses who need to renew their Florida license. The program covers psychological\, emotional\, physical\, work-related\, and social forms of abuse. Most important\, it covers the signs\, indicators\, stages\, and profiles\, and the intervention and resources needed for all victims.

SUMMARY:CMSA National (1CE) - Collaboration in Action: Winning Strategies for CM & UM Teams
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE!\n  \nJoin us for the upcoming webinar Collaboration in Action: Winning Strategies for CM & UM Teams.\n1 CE - RN\, CCM\, CDMS\, CNLCP \nEffective utilization management is a cornerstone of modern healthcare\, serving as a key strategy to balance high-quality patient care with the imperative to control rising costs. By systematically evaluating the medical necessity\, appropriateness\, and efficiency of care\, utilization management ensures that patients receive the right care\, at the right time\, in the right place. When leadership implements this tool effectively\, these practices improve care coordination\, reduce unnecessary services\, and promote evidence-based treatment pathways. The result can be a healthcare delivery system that supports better clinical outcomes\, enhances patient satisfaction\, and reduces avoidable expenditures. Utilization Management is a function of case management practice that serves not only as a cost-containment tool but also as a driver of improved patient-centered care\, providing a model for transitions of care within the healthcare system. \nObjectives:\n1. Differentiate between case management and utilization management roles.\n2. Identify key effective leadership tools to improve the utilization management processes.\n3. Demonstrate the latest utilization management knowledge and strategies. \nPresenters:\n- Dr. Ronald Hirsch\, MD\, FACP\, CHCQM\, Vice President of the Regulations and Education Group\, R1 RCM\, Inc\n- Jenny Quigley-Stickney\, MSN\, MHA\, MA\, RN\, CCM\, ACM-RN\, CPHM\, FCM\, Trauma Case Manager\, Cape Cod Healthcare\n- June Stark\, RN\, BSN\, MEd\, Case Management Consultant; and Adjunct Faculty \n
