Career and Knowledge Pathways

 

 

Education is a cornerstone of the value CMSA provides. We are proud to offer the newly imagined Career & Knowledge Pathways, a set of six educational offerings which provide comprehensive continuing education for any level of case manager, in any practice setting. Use these tools to enhance and extend your career and provide the help you need for growth in all aspects of case management.

These six pathways include:

  • Educational Resource Library (ERL)
    The Educational Resource Library (ERL) is our 24/7 option for fully digital continuing education. This online resource offers approximately 160 online sessions with continuing education credits (RN, SW, CDMS & CCM). CMSA members: take full advantage of this important benefit, included free of charge with your membership.
  • Integrated Case Management Program (ICM)
    The newly envisioned Integrated Case Management (ICM) Program and manual bring both the U.S. and the international scopes of ICM. This excellent manual and accompanying program are the sole sanctioned materials of CMSA for these areas of our practice. CMSA members receive discounted pricing on both!
  • Case Management Adherence Guide (CMAG)
    Our Case Management Adherence Guide (CMAG) serves the professional care management community as the standard by which case managers can advance assistance, coaching and monitoring efforts with the goal of ultimately improving care delivery and patient outcomes.
  • commit Comprehensive Motivational Interviewing Training
    One of our newest educational offerings is comMIt, a comprehensive motivational interviewing training which offers a natural augmentation of the motivational interviewing we cover in ICM. Currently, this training offers 8 CE credits for dietitians, nurses, physicians and social workers; through this partnership, CMSA also offers CCM hours (pending approval), at a low cost.
  • CMSA Opioid Use Disorder Case Management Guide
    CMSA’s Opioid Use Disorder Case Management Guide is timely, released during a period of national focus on the opioid epidemic. CMSA members can access the guide for free, included with membership!
  • Standards of Professional Case Management Practice Program
    The Standards of Professional Case Management Practice Program offers a comprehensive review of CMSA’s 2016 Standards of Practice for Case Management. This online course is designed to enhance this understanding by expanding on these common principles and to offers a consistent educational opportunity for case managers, whether new to the industry or in need of eliminating gaps in understanding and concepts within organizational staff.
