As Foundation Month draws to a close, we're reflecting on what an incredible April it has been for the CMSA Foundation. This month has been filled with energy, purpose, and generosity—all in celebration of professional case management and the vital work being done across the continuum of care.
Throughout April, the CMSA Foundation has focused on raising awareness of its critical mission: to fund research that demonstrates the impact of case management on client outcomes and to recognize innovation through our Practice Improvement Awards. As a self-supporting organization, the Foundation depends on the generosity of donors and the tireless dedication of our Board of Directors to make this work possible.
We're thrilled to share that the Foundation's Awards Committee has been hard at work reviewing an exceptionally high number of award applications this year. This robust response reflects the depth and breadth of powerful case management initiatives happening nationwide and around the world. Award recipients and honorable mentions will be announced at CMSA's Annual Conference in June, with full profiles to be featured in the CMSA Foundation Library and CMSA Today.
Our ambitious goal for Foundation Month was to raise $5,000 to expand our impact—and with just a few days left, there's still time to help us reach (or even exceed!) that goal. Right now, we are only able to fund one Practice Improvement Award and one research grant annually. But we know—based on the volume and quality of this year's applications—that our community is eager for us to do more.
It would be a missed opportunity for groundbreaking, evidence-based work to go unrecognized due to limited resources. Every case manager knows the effort involved in designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that truly make a difference. The CMSA Foundation is committed to ensuring that work is celebrated and supported.
Before Foundation Month ends, consider how you can help us finish strong:
- Become a Friend of the Foundation with a monthly recurring donation (as little as $10/month).
- Contribute to our Garden of Gratitude to honor someone special—be it a mentor, client, or colleague.
- Support your local chapter's efforts—like the Chicago Chapter, which has led the way with a $750 donation through a 50/50 raffle!
- Shop our Spring Into Action merchandise or buy seeds and plants to grow your own garden—orders accepted until May 15th.
Thank you for your commitment, your creativity, and your support. Let's carry this incredible momentum into the final days of Foundation Month—and beyond.
Are you celebrating CMSA Foundation Month?
The CMSA Foundation is more than halfway to their $5,000 goal — thanks to the incredible generosity of individuals and chapters like yours!
There’s still time to make an impact. Donate today and be recognized in the Garden of Gratitude! Every contribution helps drive the Foundation’s mission of strengthening case management through research, innovation, and process improvement.
