Stroke remains a leading cause of death and long-term disability, making early recognition, timely intervention, and coordinated care essential to improving patient outcomes. This webinar explores the differences between ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, including their underlying causes, risk factors, clinical presentations, and diagnostic approaches. Participants will gain insight into recognizing common and atypical stroke symptoms, understanding emergency treatment options, and applying evidence-based strategies for acute stroke management.

Beyond initial treatment, effective stroke recovery requires a collaborative, patient-centered approach. This session examines the vital roles of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including case managers, in rehabilitation, discharge planning, risk reduction, and long-term care coordination. Special considerations for vulnerable populations, barriers to care, and patient and family education will also be discussed, providing healthcare professionals with practical knowledge to support better outcomes across the continuum of care.
