REGISTER HERE According to the 2020 census, nearly 67 million people live within rural areas of the United States. Rural residents face a daily challenge in accessing healthcare services and support as these areas have fewer healthcare providers, residents have limited access to specialized care, and often have no insurance coverage or limited coverage. Residents are required to travel longer distances for care with limited transportation options. Additionally, rural areas can have limited internet access, which then further challenges telehealth capabilities and thus treatment overall. Join a panel of case managers as they share the challenges faced by both themselves and their clients regarding access to care, mitigation of healthcare inequities, and exploration of rural-specific changes that can help. Objectives: Define the current challenges faced by case managers, clients, and their families located in rural communities.  Describe how case managers navigate the rural landscape to ensure the best care possible for their clients.
